Shaun White pulled a repeat as Olympic champion when he took first place and won gold in the halfpipe competition in Vancouver Wednesday evening. It was Shaun Whites gold medal to lose from the beginning but after stomping his first run with a score of 46.8 it was clear that Shaun did not come to the Olympics to play nice.
After the qualifications Shaun White was in first with his run of 46.8 with Scotty Lago holding down second place with a score of 42.8 and Switzerland’s Iouri Podladtchikov in third with a score of 42.4. All going to the finals it was now time for them to gather their bearings, get to the top of the pipe and do it all again.
